The accuracy of the MTA visual grading system for AD patients
Background
The MTA grading system is a very famous grading system for Alzheimer's disease. This grading system is a visual grading system that has been used by neurologists, psychiatrists, and neuroradiologists all over the world.the MTA grading system into grades from 0 = normal, 1 = minimal atrophy, 2 = mild atrophy, 3 = moderate,atrophy, to 4 = severe atrophy (Scheltens, 1995)1.
Summary of Work
The aim of this poster is to test the accuracy of the MTA grading system. A 60 Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients will be evaluated based on the MTA grading system criteria. Then a normality analysis test will be run to check how many are normal among the group who already been diagnosed with AD.
Summary of Results
The result showed that the MTA is not sensitive in stages 0, 1, and 2, but accurate with stage 3 and 4. This finding has been found in another research that supports this poster's findings 2. The MTA classified the AD patients in stages 1 and 2 as normal patients (see Table 1 and 2).

Conclusion
The MTA classified the patients who already diagnosed as AD patients in grades 1 and 2 as normal which means the MTA grading system must be replaced.
Take-home Messages
The MTA is an inaccurate grading system that still used worldwide. It must be changed into a measurable grading system.
